Differential cross sections for pion charge exchange on the proton at 27 . 5 MeV
We have measured pion single charge exchange differential cross sections on the proton at 27.5 MeV incident π kinetic energy in the center of momentum angular range between 0 and 55. The extracted cross sections are compared with predictions of the standard pion-nucleon partial wave analysis and found to be in excellent agreement. Typeset using REVTEX
متن کاملIsotopic production cross sections of ssion residues in Au-on-proton collisions at 800 A MeV
Interactions of Au projectiles at 800 A MeV with protons leading to ssion are investigated. We measured the production cross sections and velocities of all ssion residues which are fully identi ed in atomic and mass number by using the inight separator FRS at GSI. The new data are compared with earlier measurements of the characteristics of ssion in similar reactions. Both the production cross ...
متن کاملAntiproton-proton partial-wave analysis below 925 MeV/c.
A partial-wave analysis of all pp scattering data below 925 MeV/c antiproton laboratory momentum is presented. The method used is adapted from the Nijmegen phase-shift analyses of pp and np scattering data. We solve the Schrödinger equation for the coupled pp and nn channels where the long-and intermediate-range interactions are described by a theoretically well-founded potential. This gives th...
متن کاملTesting the ECPSSR theory and its modifications with ratios of antiproton-to-proton ionization cross sections
While fits to 90% of all ever measured K-shell ionization cross sections by protons are on the average within 10% of the ECPSSR [W. Brandt, G. Lapicki, Phys. Rev. A 23 (1981) 1717], this theory systematically overestimates the remaining 10% of all data (comprised mainly of the measurements on heavy target elements) in the slow collision regime of proton velocities less than 0.1 of the orbital v...
